What Is Donors Choose?

I have previously written about the wonderful organization, Donors Choose.

www.DonorsChoose.org

I currently have a project posted on their site to add 4 Kindle Fires to my classroom.  I am so close to meeting my goal!  I have about two months to raise the remaining $256 for my project to be funded.

However, that IS NOT what I am writing about.  This posting is for all of you teachers out there that aren't aware of this amazing resource!  Please check the site out, consider supporting a teacher, and write a proposal for something that you have been desiring for your students!

What do you need to inspire, engage and encourage your students?

Here is a short video explaining DonorsChoose:

Donor's Choose!

Have you heard of Donor's Choose.org?  It is a great site for teachers to post projects that they envision.  It could be a request for technology, books, tools or other materials for your classroom.

We are hoping to get our project funded!

Math is Fun! Fraction Help...

We have begun our fraction unit. The kiddos are really enjoying it, mostly because we discuss food a lot! Math is Fun is a great resource for math help (all different content areas). Check it out here: Math Is Fun - Maths Resources

Finally...My blog is up and running!  I need to send props to a couple of people though...Misty Durbin, I've been following her blog and following her on Pinterest.  I found out about the blog design from her site 3rd Grade's a Hoot.  She has some amazing ideas, check it out!  The blog design is out of my league...so thanks to Alicia at Dreamlike Magic Designs!  I love it!

I look forward to getting to work now and posting some amazing stuff...fall is almost here!
